Watering: Although we've seen this plant being quite self-sufficient once established, it grows better & flowers more if given adequate moisture. Frost tolerances: Fully hardy Flowering time: Spring Preferred soil: Rich moderate drainage although not overly fussy. Preferred aspect: Shady. Ideal climates: Cool to temperate. Pruning: Remove spent blooms. Fertilising: Feed with a general purpose fertiliser in early Spring each year. Uses & comments: A fabulous addition to the shade garden with both decorative flowers and foliage.
