Depth & spacing: Plant with the crown at the soil surface and 15-20cm apart.
Watering: Keep well watered whilst actively growing.
Frost tolerances: Hardy.
Flowering time: Late Spring to early Summer
Preferred soil: Rich and well drained.
Preferred aspect: Full sun is ideal but in warm areas they can be grown in part shade quite successfully.
Ideal climates: Temperate to cool.
Pruning: Tidy up after flowering.
Fertilising: Feed annually with a general purpose fertiliser such as Blood & Bone or pellets of chook manure in early Spring.
