Plant type: Evergreen perennial.
Size (HxW): 1m x 80cm
Depth and spacing: Plant at the same depth as in the pot or plant with the roots below soil surface. Planting too deep can be fatal. Plant 80-100cm apart.
Watering: Keep moist during hot dry periods. Mulch well to help with water retention. They do not like being dry.
Frost tolerance: Hardy
Flowering time: Autumn till winter.
Planting time: Anytime
Soil: Grow in rich, well drained, slightly acidic soil. In alkaline areas add plenty of well-rotted cow manure to the soil in autumn and spring each year.
Climate: Cool to Sub-Tropical.
Aspect: Full sun to semi shade.
Fertilizer: Feed with a little well-balanced fertilizer in spring each year or apply Osmocote during late summer and again in spring.
After flower care: A light prune may be required if you want to shape as a hedge.
