  • Old English/Spray to 1m tall.
  • Sims: up to 1.2m tall

Flowers: Early to mid Summer.
Planting: Plant crown at soil surface.

  • Old english & spray: 25-30cm apart
  • Sim carnations: 30 cm apart

Soil: Most soils are fine as long as they are well draining and have been enriched with organic matter. If drainage is poor, build up the bed.
Position: Full sun
Climate: Cool to Sub Tropics.
Frost: Hardy.
Watering: Keep soil moist (but not soggy) whilst the plants are growing.
Fertilizer: Use well rotted manure or a slow release fertilizer.
Comments: Makes a great cut flower.
