Botanical name: Crambe maritima
Family: Brassicaeae
Plant type: Evergreen perennial
Flowering time: Late Spr/early Sum. However, it's the foliage which is the
biggest attraction of this plant.
Size: 40cm tall (foliage) x 70cm wide. (Flowers grow to around 60cm tall)
Preferred soil: Rich, well drained.
Preferred position: Sun to part shade.
Preferred climate: Cool to temperate.
Planting depth and spacing: Plant to the same depth as it was in pot & up
to 70cm apart.
Pruning: None required other than the occasional tidy up.
Watering: Keep watered during main growth periods.
Fertilising: Apply a general purpose fertiliser annually in early Spring.
Frost tolerance: Hardy
