Depth and Spacing: Plant with the crown (where the roots meets the leaves) just below soil surface level and 50-70 cm apart - leaving room for the plants to clump up. Aspect: Full sun to light shade. Soil: Well drained. Soggy Winter soils will cause the rhizomes to rot. Watering: Keep moist whilst growing. Fertilising: Complete fertiliser Flowering time: Spring - summer. Comments: These old favourites are extremely hardy & require very little care.
