Botanical name: Iris Japonica (syn I.fimbriata, I.chinensis)
Flowering time: Late winter - early spring (approximately 5 weeks.)
Size (HxW): 40x50cm.
Preferred soil: Well mulched & acidic.
Preferred position: Sheltered, semi shade and protected from frosts.
Planting instructions: Plant at same level as in the pot.
Spacing: 50cm apart.
Watering requirements: Keep well watered, do not allow to dry out.
Fertiliser requirements: 2-3 handfuls per square metre.
Frost tolerance: Protect from frosts.
Comments: In general, this iris thrives in 'damp woodlands' conditions.
