Botanical name: Geranium cinereum 'Molly Grills' Family: Geraniaceae Plant type: Evergreen perennial Plant size: 15cm tall x 30cm wide. Depth & spacing: Plant with the crown level with the soil surface & 30cm apart. Watering: Once established, this plant is drought tolerant but it's better to provide ample water. Frost tolerances: Hardy Flowering time: Spring to Summer. Preferred soil: Well drained & rich although generally not fussy and will grow (but not as well) on poor soils. Preferred aspect: Full sun to part shade. Ideal climates: Cool to temperate. Pruning: Give a light tidy up each Winter if desired. Fertilising: Feed annually with a general purpose fertiliser in Spring. Uses & comments: This variety was bred by David Glenn of Victoria. He selected this variety for it's beautiful blooms & very vigorous & hardy nature. He named it after a dear & much loved friend - Molly Grills of Ascot (Victoria)
