Description: Large juicy berries which ripen from green to purple if left on the bush. Fruiting season: Summer. Planting time: Plant the canes on arrival and leave them undisturbed for years. This allows the bush to mature. Preferred position: Open sunny spot. Soil: Well drained, rich soil. Depth and spacing: Plant as deep as the crown and space about 1-1.5m apart. Watering: Ensure the bushes get plenty of watering during Summer. Fertiliser: Use a general fertiliser. Pest or problems: Generally none. Propagation: Prune in Winter. Removing the centre of the plant develops a more open structure to allow light in & for easier picking.
