Depth and spacing: Plant where the roots meet the crown. Spread roots evenly below soil surface. Gloves are recommended when handling these plants.
Watering: These plants are drought tolerant. Water only if they appear limp and extremely dry.
Frost tolerance: Protect from frosts. Keep pots in a sheltered position during frost periods.

Soil: Generally not fussy, as they will grow in extremely dry conditions.
