Depth & spacing: Plant up to 50cm apart with the crown (where the leaves and roots meet) level with the soil surface. Aspect: Full sun to light shade. Soil: Well draining. Soggy Winter soils will cause the rhizomes to rot. Watering: Keep moist whilst actively growing. Fertilising: Complete fertiliser Flowering time: Summer Pruning required: None
These old favourites are extremely hardy and require little care. However, their colour is brilliant and their blooms also excellent in vases.
