Sidalcea 'Loveliness'

Family: Malvaceae.
Plant type: Herbaceous perennial.
Plant Size: 70-90cm tall x 40cm wide.
Depth and Spacing: Plant 40cm apart at same depth as the pot.
Soil: Well drained, moderately fertile humus-rich soil. Neutral to slightly acidic soil pH gives the best results.
Aspect: Full sun in cooler regions, light shade in warmer climates.
Watering: Keep moist whilst the plant is growing but prevent from waterlogging.
Fertilising: Annually apply a complete fertiliser in winter or early spring.
Climatic Tolerances: Cool to temperate.
Flowering time: Summer
Pruning:Cut the flowers off as soon as they fade to ensure a second flush. At the end of the growing season cut the plant right back.
