Susannah Mitchell

Botanical name: Anthemis x 'Susannah Mitchell'
Family: Asteraceae.
Plant type: Evergreen perennial.
Plant size: 35cm tall x 80cm spread.
Depth & spacing: 80cm apart.
Watering: Drought tolerant once established but, like most plants, does best with sufficient moisture.
Frost tolerances: Frost hardy.
Flowering time: Late Spring, Summer & Autumn.
Preferred soil: Free draining soil & high in organic matter. Very tolerant of a wide range of pH levels.
Preferred aspect: Full sun.
Ideal climates: Sub-tropical to cool.
Pruning: Cut back after flowering to maintain dense foliage.
Fertilising: Feed annually in early Spring with a general purpose fertiliser.
Uses & comments: A carpet of pretty daisies smother the soft grey foliage, creating dense blocks of soft yellow. We find this plant wonderful at the front of the border or covering bare ground under taller plants.
