Family: Caprifoliaceae
Plant type: Deciduous shrub.
Plant size: 2-3m x 2-3m. Actual size will vary with variety (see notes below).
Depth & spacing: Plant with the base of the plant at soil level & 2-3m apart.
Watering: These plants should be kept reasonably moist over Summer, especially in soils which are not moisture retentive.
Frost tolerances: Frost hardy.
Flowering time: Spring.
Preferred soil: Rich & moist.
Preferred aspect: Full sun to light shade. The bushes tend to flower more in full sun & stay more dense in foliage.
Ideal climates: Cool to temperate.
Pruning: Pruning is not required but you can prune these shrubs to a shape & size that suits you.
Fertilising: Feed in late Winter annually with a general purpose fertiliser.
Uses & comments: These are wonderful & elegant shrubs.
