Coming into Winter, it is the best time to get your bare rooted stock into the ground. Planting now takes best advantage of the natural rainfall.
Winter planting allows your plants plenty of time to settle in so they are ready to flower in the warming spring and hot summer months. The cooler weather also allows you and I to spend more time in the garden without us getting overheated!

It was great to see all our customers who came along to visit us at the Gardening and Rare Plants expo. It was a top weekend with perfect weather. For those who missed out, the expo showcases the best bulbs, plants and perennials the Nursery Industry has to offer and keeps getting better each year. Hopefully we will see you there in 2011.
On the farm we have just finished planting more than a million Spring flowering bulbs in preperation for the Tesselaar Tulip Festival which will run this year from September 16th until October 13th. The 2010 festival will have over a hundred different tulip varieties on show. We hope to see you here - do come and say hello.
