Elephant Garlic
This species is closely related to the leek with a similar flavour.
Garlic
All suited to Aussie conditions. An easy winter crop to grow. The taste is also better than the average supermarket offerings. You need a sunny spot with well drained soil, they will even grow in pots. Harvest in summer as the leaves begin to brown.
Shallots
An easy to grow crop which has a more mild, sweet taste than it's cousin the onion. If you can resist eating them, keep your best bulbs to re-plant next season. Harvest 10-12 weeks after planting.
