Brodiaea 'Hollywood Star'

Brodiaea 'Hollywood Star'
Brodiaea californica

Flowering a little later than most of the Brodiaea, ‘Hollywood Star’ produces large, open umbels with up to 12 flowers on each. The violet flowers open on 12cm stems opening in succession, increasing the length of the show. The lilac flowers last a long time and make excellent cutting. These bulbs are survivors and they will cope with snow and sun. Plant amid grasses, at the front of borders, in a patch by themselves or as part of a rockery. Endemic to California so perfect for the similar Australian climate. Also known as the Wild Hyacinth.
