Aloe Vera ‘Piranha’ is one psychedelic plant! Part of the ‘Fish Series’ by Larry Wisel, it has lumps, bumps and spikes decorating each fleshy leaf.

The mid to dark green leaves are heavily scaled with cream, green and pink mounds. The edges of the leaves are even lined with ferocious teeth. It is so easy to care for in a pot, Aloe Vera ‘Piranha’ makes a great house, office or patio plant.
For hundreds of years, Aloe Vera has been used as a healing plant, the sap is used for treatment of skin conditions such as sun burn.
SIZE (HxW): 10-20cm x 10-30cm
I SEE THE LIGHT: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Keep out of the hot afternoon sun lest their leaves be sunburned or roots damaged. You will get the best foliage colour in bright light.
I NEED A DRINK: Low water needs, water well, then allow the soil to almost dry out before watering again. Keeping them on the drier side will result in better colour. If they are too dry the leaves will wither and shrink – this is a cry of help. They are winter dormant so don’t need much water at this time.
I WILL SURVIVE: These plants are so easy, they pretty much look after themselves. In pots ensure you choose a cactus/succulent potting mix for best results as it offers the sharp drainage they need. Choose a pot with drainage holes to ensure they don’t end up sitting in water.
Use a diluted, liquid fertiliser in spring to keep them happy and healthy. They aren’t heavy feeders so will forgive you if you forget.
