Salvia ‘Rubin’ is a sensational Salvia that is well suited to dry gardens and cottage borders. The flower colour is a marvellous maroon pink and they open from spring all the way into autumn. The stems are plentiful, tall and strong. This Salvia holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Far below the blooms is the mid green, compact foliage.

Salvia ‘Rubin’ is at home in garden beds or borders, under roses or on embankments. Plant in a sunny spot with well drained soil. Water to establish and keep moist in active growth.

You can dead head Salvia ‘Rubin’ regularly to extend the flowering season, or give the plant a good prune late summer, as they begin to wane, add some fertiliser and you should have a second flush in no time.

In winter or early spring, you can cut Salvia ‘Rubin’ back to the ground once flowering has finished add some mulch, this will allow the fresh spring/summer growth to shine through.
