Species Tulip (reduced) Collection

Species Tulips have a more relaxed or whimsical feel than the common hybridized varieties. The flowers are exotic and last well and impress with a handsome range of colours.

Species tulips can be more enduring with less care than the hybridised varieties, coping well with extreme weather.

Plant into a well drained, moderately fertile to humus rich soil. Species Tulips don’t mind a bit of heat in summer, unlike most spring flowering bulbs, as they are used to being ‘baked’ in their native homeland. The bulbs are quite hardy and can be left in the ground to naturalise for many years.

Species Tulips are ideal for rock gardens, lawn plantings, pots or towards the front of a border.
