This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
A cast iron plant with great ornamental value. The small, pink and white flowers open from large lilac bracts and glow on upright stems from spring to autumn. Like a giant bouquet in the garden. The hairy, textured leaves grow up to 23cm are below the blooms.
Grow Clary Sage ‘Turkestanica’ in a sunny location in well drained soil. Salvias are dry tolerant once established and look wonderful in beds, borders or dry gardens. A short lived perennial or biennial that will set seed.
They have a vigorous growth and are easy care. Dead head spent flowers on Salvias, after the first flush to encourage re-bloom. A semi evergreen to herbaceous variety which should be pruned hard in winter or early spring.
This Saliva is not just ornamental. It can be used to flavour dishes and wines. It is also used by the perfume industry for its sclareol resin.
