A dashing lily with layered, upward facing flowers. The deep red petals have blushes of black and are pollen and perfume free.
The number of double blooms is affected to some extent by temperature. So, if the spring/summer has been warm there will be fewer doubles, but it averages ¾ doubles which is impressive. And the singles are handsome besides.
Double Asiatic Liliums are hardy cultivars with bright, colourful, upward facing flowers. Stems average 4-8 blooms, with numbers increasing as the bulbs establish. They make excellent cut flowers and are so easy to grow.

Simply plant, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. Choose a humus rich, moist, well drained soil in a sunny location. They will appreciate afternoon shade in warmer climates, and reward you with a longer show for your trouble.

Keep your lilies moist while in growth and fertilise at the start of the season and again as the flowers are finishing. Mulching over the summer will help maintain moisture levels in the soil.

From planting they average 10-14 weeks to flower.
