Each of them is sensational with showy foliage and flowers.
Dahlegria have big single blooms in bold colours over mid sized, upright, ebony foliage. Mystic Dahlias are NZ bred with a rounded, compact habit and fine, dark foliage. Happy Days are the most petite and have lush, midnight foliage and bright, full sized blooms.
Plant Dahlias into moist, humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot, they need at least six hours to flower well and will flourish with plenty of light.
Dahlias have big blooms for a long period so fertiliser is important, a tomato fertiliser is a good choice. The addition of Sulphate of Potash, will encourage strong blooms and general plant health.
Remove spent flowers to keep the plants looking good and encourage more blooms. The flowers will last well in a vase.

If you choose to grow your Dahlias in pots, it is ideal to use a good quality potting mix and ensure there is adequate drainage holes. In pots you will need to water well once they are up and growing, if they dry out they will sulk and you won't get a good display. You will also need to add fertiliser regularly to the container, as per the directions on the pack. Dahlias grow quickly and flower with gusto so need the nutrition to back this up.
Dwarf Foliage Dahlia Collection, one of each variety, separately labelled. Includes Dahlegria 'Apricot Tricolour', Dahlegria 'Bicolour', Dahlegria 'Pink Flame', Dahlegria 'Red', Mystic 'Haze', Happy Days 'Orange and Red Bicolour', Mystic 'Sparkler' and Mystic 'Illusion'.
