A new twist on an old favourite. Who can deny the flowering prowess of this easy care nature of this power house. With the advantages of modern breeding, this compact form is almost indestructible. It forms a tidy mound of fine, dense foliage that is topped for most of the year with white flowers that fade through a range of pinks and rosy reds.

I'll admit, at first I was a bit of a plant snob on this one, but then I grew it and that changed my mind. It is cute and compact, always in flower, readily pickable and takes none of my time. Last season I under planted a pot with early mini Daffodils, popped a Seaside 'Spindrift' on top, and the combination is a winner. Plus bees and other beneficial insects love the long term availability of the blooms.

A fast and easy choice for rockeries, as a garden filler, edging, cottage gardens, coastal gardens, small gardens, pots and more. The dense habit will stop any weeds from forming and it certainly isn't invasive as the old fashioned types can be.

Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil, they really aren't fussy. Choose a sunny spot for the best blooms. Water to establish, then they will take care of themselves. Suitable in pots, ensure there is good drainage and water in dry times. If flowering wanes, give it a light prune and it will be back to its old self in no time. Add a little dressing of an all purpose fertiliser in spring (probably not needed in gardens, but pots will benefit).
