Rose 'Perfume Passion

High centred Rose blooms up to 12cm across with as many as 45 petals and a sensational perfume. It is a vigorous grower with a robust nature and excellent black spot resistance.

This Hybrid Tea Bush Rose has a bold, fruity fragrance hitting 5/5 on our Rose fragrance scale. The Kordes Perfumer describes it as: “The scent is intense, yet fresh. The top notes of citrus are present even when the bud is just opening. When the flower is fully open the wonderful heart notes of fresh litchi and white peach predominate with the fragrances of pear, plum and peony also present. The earthy base notes of patchouli and fresh myrtle are faint, but complete the scent experience beautifully.”

Perfume Passion is the winner of many international Rose accolades. In 2012 it took out Best Hybrid Tea, Best Rose and Gold at Australia’s National Rose Trial Garden Awards.

Rose bushes are upright, elegant shrubs that are adorned twice a year with spectacular, showy blooms.

The basics of rose care are simply ...

1. Keep the plants moist at all times, but never allow the roots to sit in water.

2. Feed generously, and frequently, two or three times over the flowering season.

3. Keep pests to a minimum (this is usually not a problem if you start with a strong variety, and keep it well watered and well fed).

4. Prune back once a year in winter.

5. Keep the area around the roots weed free, and ensure 4-6 hours of sun per day. Loamy soils are ideal, though Roses will grow in heavy top soils (if well drained) and sandy soils (if kept watered and fed more frequently). For Roses to thrive, good drainage is critical.

When providing your roses with a supporting show and companion planting try and leave a bit of space around their root zone clear.
