Deep red centres with golden yellow borders, fading to white. Lily 'Scheherazade' is a robust Lilium with recurved petals that stretch up to 25cm across. Their sweet fragrance is best appreciated on a warm summer’s night.
The Lily 'Scheherazade' flowers have a light fragrance and open on very tall, strong stems. It is a cross of Turks Cap Lilium 'Black Beauty' trumpet Lily 'Thunderbolt'. The flowers open from midsummer.
The blooms of Lily 'Scheherazade' make for good cut flowers with up to 40 flowers opening on a single stem from established bulbs.
Plant the bulbs of Lily 'Scheherazade' in full sun in a well drained soil and leave them to naturalise and to multiply. Add plenty of fertiliser each spring to keep them blooming at their best.
