If you are short on garden space but need more colour, Cottage Gladioli are a great solution. You can easily tuck them into the nooks and crannies of the garden for a cheerful splurge of late spring colour – perfectly timed to keep the show going after the tulips and daffodils have had their day.

Each corm can produce two or three spikes with up to seven flowers on each! What`s more, there is no need to stake these low maintenance bulbs as they have strong and compact stems.

Cottage Gladioli are the perfect height for naturalising amongst perennials, and their robust nature means they are tolerant of heat and frost. Like their tall cousins they make great cut flowers and should be picked as the first bloom opens.

Plant into a well drained soil in a sunny position, they need around six hours of sun a day to thrive.

Cottage Gladioli bulbs can be left in the ground year after year and you will only need to dig and divide only every four or five years depending on conditions.

IN POTS:
This is our recommendation for the best display, keeping in mind bulbs look best when planted nice and close together.

20cm/8” = 20 bulbs
25cm/10” = 40 bulbs
