A wonderful little shrub for borders or hedging. In summer, the evergreen foliage is covered with white, fragrant blooms. The simple flowers have a decorative group of golden stamens at their heart and smell sweetly of citrus and Roses.

Mock Orange shrubs are quick to establish and rewarding to grow. The mid to bright green, serrated leaves grow to around 11cm along the bowing branches.

Plant Mock Orange in full sun to semi shade in moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish, then keep moist when in active growth.

Known botanically as Philadelphus mexicanus. Philadelphus is from the Greek for brotherly love. Mexicanus is used as the plant originates in Mexico and Guatemala.
