A gorgeous, miniature Cascading Cymbidium Orchid with plenty of flowers. The blooms are each 6cm across and open in groups of twenty or more from established plants. The flowers open on short spikes July to August with multiple spikes. A good choice for beginners!
Cascading Cymbidium Orchids are exceptionally elegant plants and quite long lasting. They flower from 4 to 12 weeks on the plant and 2 to 5 weeks if cut for the vase. These are cool growing Cascading Cymbidium Orchids that need the winter night temperatures (10-15C) to flower well.
Cascading Cymbidium Orchids are easy to grow as long as you cater for their basic needs:
1. Use an orchid growing mix
2. Position the plant in dappled light
3. Keep the plant just moist and fertilise well.
Cymbidium Orchids make ideal pot and hanging basket plants. They will take a few years to settle in and flower, but they are worth the wait and will flower reliably for decades to come.
