Verbena Lanai 'Candy Cane'

Verbena’s are renowned for their flowering prowess and easy care. These new varieties improve on their already sturdy nature. The flowering period is longer (easily five months), the disease resistance stronger and the care even easier.
The trailing habit Verbena plants looks good spilling over pots, hanging baskets, rockeries, trailing over walls, in rock gardens or on embankments. The leaves are mid green and deeply serrated. The flowers are attractive to beneficial insects.

Verbena Lanai ‘Candy Cane’ will flower through heat and humidity up until frost. In warmer climes they bloom almost year round. In very cold climates they may need to be treated as annuals. Regular removal of spent flowers will result in the best blooms and compact growth.

Plant Verbena in a sunny location in well drained soil. Water to establish (this takes around four weeks of regular watering), then only if rainfall is low.
