Soft yellow flowers with a strong raspberry pink blush. A beautiful and easy to grow Tulip that flowers mid season. Each bloom is around 6cm across.

Plant in a sunny spot with good drainage and they will last many years. Clusiana Tulip ‘Cynthia’ thrives in areas with cold winters and hot summers.

Tulipa clusiana ‘Cynthia’ multiplies through underground stolons and bulb offsets at a moderate rate, it will not set seed. Clusiana tulips are commonly termed Lady Tulips or Candlestick Tulips due to their narrow form.

The Clusiana species are also known as Persian Tulips, though they are believed to be endemic to Spain, they are white with a pink blush. It is a strong growing and popular Tulip species that has been cultivated throughout Europe since the early 17th Century. This particular variety (‘Cynthia’) was first sold in 1959.
