Bishop’s Hat (E. davidii): A beacon in a shaded position with masses of bright yellow floral panicles on deep red stems. The new leaves have a bronzed wash. ‘Lilac Cascade’ (E. hybrid): Densely mounding foliage with a rosy glow, developing to mid green, maintaining a mahogany border. It offers excellent vigour and superior dry tolerance. Epimedium x rubrum (E. x rubrum): The emerging leaves have a red hue and grow to 40cm, becoming mid green as the weather warms. The petite, cherry and cream flowers mass through spring. Barrenwort (E. pubescens): Soft green, heart shaped, elongated leaves with red patterning, maturing to green in summer. A free flowering plant of great value. ‘Brimstone Butterfly’ (E. franchetii): A top evergreen groundcover for dry shade. The new leaves have a strong pink blush, evolving to apple green.
