Extra special white flowers with an exuberant blue halo.
In drifts and clumps they look amazing, or you can mix them and match them with blue and white varieties for a wow of a show. Either way you will enjoy up to six weeks of fabulous colour!
The handsome foliage of De Caen Anemones is light green and heavily dissected, so it appears soft and fern like. Grouping them close together will create a memorable display.
De Caen Anemones are simple and sweet with that winning combination of being small on price and big on show and these little dynamos will bring you weeks and weeks of colour. You could try mixing them into a cottage garden, have them overflowing from pots or create a colourful feature with a mass planting.
You can even cut the flowers for indoor display, the blooms will last over a week in a vase. Cutting the flowers has the additional benefit of encouraging more to bloom.
Plant De Caen Anemones in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Fertilise regularly and they will deliver rich rewards - these small corms grow quickly and bear lots of blooms, so they need adequate nutrition to flower at their best.
Anemones average 10-14 weeks from planting to flower so you can effectively time their display. They even have the super power that they can be planted at any time of the year! For example if you plant in December they will flower in March. If you plant in October the blooms open December. If you plant in March they will flower in September. Such clever little things that they are. After their initial bloom those planted at different times will resume annual flowering in spring unless you lift and store them.
Such amazing value.
