African Lady's Mantle
A rare, feature shrub.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Hailing from Eastern Africa, this unusual evergreen shrub is rarely offered and well worth a grow. It shrugs off dry, exposed conditions and looks good doing it.
African Lady’s Mantle has a nice woody frame and can make a valuable addition to a shrubbery or garden bed. The silver green leaves cluster on upright, orange-red stems. It responds well to pruning and you can trim it to a lovely dome, or even hedge it.
Alchemilla argyrophylla is very different from any other Alchemilla
Small, lime green flowers bloom in summer, but Alchemilla argyrophylla is loved more as a foliage plant.
Plant into moderately fertile to humus rich soil, they aren’t fussy. Water to establish and they become dry tolerant. They are frost hardy, and if you live where there is frost you will love the look on the leaves in winter.
