The handsome, evergreen foliage of Yunnan Loosestrife is a brilliant garden feature year round. The deep green leaves grow in whorls and turn a beautiful bronze in winter.
The deep gold flowers grow at the centre of the leaf whorls, topping them like a crown. The blooms open all summer long, making them a great way to bring some colour to your shaded spots.
Yunnan Loosestrife thrives in a shady to morning sun position in the garden – where Winter Roses, or Hellebores like to grow (though this one likes a little more moisture). Best grown in humus rich, moist, well drained soil.
