Fuchsia ‘Andenken an Heinrich Henkel’
A heritage listing.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Fuchsia ‘Andenken an Heinrich Henkel’ is an upright shrub that drips with narrow, watermelon pink flowers. It is a cross of F. corymbiflora F. boliviana x F. ‘Magnifica’ commonly known as Lady’s Eardrops. This one is tried and true, dating back over a hundred years (Germany, 1897). Easy to grow and care for with plenty of blooms and handsome, deep green foliage with mahogany veins. Each flower is 4.5-6cm.
Green thumb or brown, Fuchsias will flower for you! Plant them in a filtered light position to enjoy months of blooms.
The flowers open freely for a long period over the lush green leaves. Fuchsia blooms are like pretty dancers, in fancy skirts and sway gracefully in the breeze.
Fuchsias grow best in semi shade to filtered light conditions where they thrive in both pots and hanging baskets. They can be grown in the garden and should be protected from frosts and drying winds.
Plant Fuchsias good quality potting mix and be sure to shelter the plants from drying winds and frost. Add a liquid fertiliser monthly to keep them blooming. Make sure you keep them moist while actively growing.
With a little love Fuchsias will flower from spring to autumn. You can dead head them throughout the season to keep the blooms coming.
