Japanese Lilium 'Album' is an impressive and rare Turkscap form of Lily. The blooms are pure white with deeply reflexed petals. The flowers open in clusters of up to 12, and each bloom can grow to an impressive 18cm across. The fragrant flowers open on green stems that have a purple flush.
Japanese Lilies have good disease resistance. The flowers open from mid to late summer. Japanese Liles also make good cut flowers.
Plant the bulbs of Japanese Lilies in full sun to part shade in a moist, well drained soil. Leave them in the ground to naturalise and to multiply. Add plenty of fertiliser each spring and summer to keep them blooming at their best.
