A lovely lily with graceful, reflexed petals. The flowers are ivory, blended with yellow to apricot at their heart. The petals have a soft smattering of bronze freckles (papillae) that add a touch of whimsy.

You can expect up to 20 flowers from established bulbs. Lilium 'Lady Alice' is and F1 hybrid of Lilium henryi and has the same Turk’s cap style, the other cross is a Christmas/Trumpet/Auralian Lily. It opens mid to late summer Jan/Feb.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was perfumed, but on a warm day you can detect a touch of sweetness.

A good choice for beginners as it grow sith a nice vigour above the ground, while the bulbs multiply at a steady rate below the ground.

Lily ‘Lady Alice’ is easy to grow. Plant the bulbs in morning sun in a well drained, humus rich, moist soil. Water them in and keep them moist in active growth. You don't need to lift the bulbs every year, just leave them in the ground to multiply. Divide as they come overcrowded and flowering slows down. Add some slow release fertiliser or well rotted manure each season when the foliage appears then again when in flower.
