A top notch, hard working plant that will tough out dry conditions and poor soils with ease, while offering plenty of bright blooms from summer to frost. The corymbs grow to around 5cm across and are a lovely lilac shade with hints of silver. A lovely choice for garden edging, cottage gardens, rock gardens, containers or the front of a bed/border.
Verbena ‘Polaris’ is a strong grower and will soon form a nice clump. The leaves grow low on the stems, leaving the flowers up above to show off on their slender, branched stems. Verbena ‘Polaris’ has taken out the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit twice, so you know it is garden worthy and won’t give you too much trouble.
Verbena ‘Polaris’ is tolerant of poor soils, and once established will tough out dry conditions too. Great in cottage gardens, or in combination with grasses, it is magical with silver foliage plants such as Artemisia too, it is just so versatile and giving.

Verbena’s are very attractive to butterflies and bees. Verbena’s are renowned for their flowering prowess and easy care. They are both heat and cold tolerant plants.

Plant Verbena ‘Polaris’ in a sunny location in well drained soil. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. Fertilise regularly to keep the blooms coming. Leave the last of the blooms to set seed for future generations and increase your stocks.
