New in 2025.
Short delay - awaiting stock

Sizzling shades of orange red and copper with fluted petals. A wow of a bloomer.
This tough plant genus just got even better! The Spin Top Series are earlier flowering with up facing, serrated blooms. They are heat and dry tolerant and beneficial insects and birds adore them. They, will grow to form a healthy clump of foliage that is topped for much of the year with extra large, upward facing blooms. They offer great garden performance and even prefer poor soils. They even just as good in a container, the leaves grow all the way to the base so they present beautifully. Well branched with flowers from late spring to autumn.
Plant Gaillardia in containers, as a filler in garden beds, for garden edging or on embankments.
Gaillardia are commonly known as Blanket Flowers. This common term is derived because they 'blanket' the prairies of North America with their flowers.
Plant these evergreen perennials in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soils. They tend to rot in boggy or heavy clay soils. Water to establish, it takes 4-6 weeks of regular watering for their roots to penetrate and access the moisture in the surrounding soils. Dry tolerant once established. We recommend removing spent flowers to encourage more to grow and extend your season. They are semi evergreen and will die back in cold climates, prune as required to make way for new growth and to tidy. Each plant lasts around five years. Fantastic in coastal conditions it has a high salt tolerance.
