A delightful dwarf form with gorgeous texture and strong growth. Sensational in rock gardens, as garden edging, a ground cover and more. It’s evergreen growth smothers any weeds in its tracks.
The green leaves and stems of Lamb's Ears ‘Silky Fleece’ are covered in a thick layer of silver fuzz, it grows to form a dense mat that cries out to be touched. Each leaf is around 2.5cm long and they stay close to the ground.
Early summer to autumn, upright stems of pink fuzzy flowers open on 20cm stems, over the 5cm high foliage. Depending on taste you can leave them bloom or remove them to focus on the foliage.
Lamb's Ears ‘Silky Fleece’ makes a nice ground cover that is dry tolerant and loves the sun. Grow in moderately fertile, well drained soil. It can tough out frost but we know some of you have much harsher winter’s than ours and there may be some damage to the foliage, wait until spring to clean them up and they regenerate with admirable speed.
It is tough and easy to grow. They will not tolerate humidity.
