Artemisia 'Guizhou'
Late season splendour.

Fabulous, fragrant foliage, furthermore, fantastic flowers.
Artemisia ‘Guizhou’ puts on its spectacular show as many of the spring and summer blooms are fading. It holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit a testament to its ease of care and handsome display.
The deep red stems compliment the dark green foliage perfectly. For most Artemisia's this would be enough, but with ‘Guizhou’ there is an added floral show. The white flowers open in billows on tall, loose branches and shine through summer and into autumn. The flowers can even be cut and enjoyed indoors.
The erect branches are perfect for the middle or back of a border and the foliage has a light fragrance, with a musk note. No staking is required and it can grow to a sizable shrub.
Artemisia ‘Guizhou’ dies back over winter, then in spring it will be back with a vengeance with fresh, new, purple flushed foliage.
Grow Artemisia ‘Guizhou’ in a full sun to semi shade position in moderately fertile that isn’t overly rich, well drained soil. It is best to keep it moist in the growing season.
It is commonly known as White Mugwort. Artemisia’s are commonly used as a moth and insect repellent and rabbits won’t touch them.
