Eye catching blooms! They have no stamens, so you don’t have to worry about stains, and they will last longer – in both the garden and the vase. The stems are strong and uphold the flowers with pride and the brilliant gold petals have a dusting of red freckles.
Double LA and Asiatic Liliums are hardy cultivars with bright, colourful, upward facing flowers. Stems average 4-8 blooms, with numbers increasing as the bulbs establish. They make excellent cut flowers and are so easy to grow.
Simply plant, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. Choose a humus rich, moist, well drained soil in a sunny location. They will appreciate afternoon shade in warmer climates.
Keep your Lilies moist while in growth and fertilise at the start of the season and again as the flowers are finishing. Mulching over the summer will help maintain moisture levels in the soil.
They will take on average 10-14 weeks to flower.
