Agapanthus ‘Indigo Dream’s’ has gorgeous, darkest, indigo purple flowers in abundance. The small, impressive umbels unfurl from deeply coloured, upright buds the florets to outward and pendant florets. They open from the outer and progress to the centre, creating a lasting show from mid to late summer and into autumn. The seed heads can remain standing and decorative into winter.
Agapanthus ‘Indigo Dreams’ is one of the best around. This herbaceous variety has strong growth and its blooms produces freely. The elegant, narrow, strappy leaves are glossy, mid green. Bred in the UK it is a campanulatus hybrid.
Agapanthus are hardy, vigorous plants that are easily grown throughout most of Australia, in fact, these stunners are virtually fool proof. Agapanthus ‘Indigo Dreams’ rarely sets seed so you don’t have to worry about them becoming invasive.
Whether you use Agapanthus as a border plant, weave them through beds, put them in pots or plant them just for picking they are hard to beat.
Agapanthus have enduring, repeat flowers summer to autumn that are also lovely picked. Plant Agapanthus into a well drained soil in a spot with plenty of sun and you will soon have tidy clumps of lush foliage growth.
