Layers of white petals with brushes of maroon colouring throughout. A lovely addition with plenty of vigour.
Double Winter Roses have all the hardiness of the traditional varieties with a little extra flair! They are one of the best evergreen plant choices for growing beneath deciduous trees.
Simple to plant, hardy and easy grow. Simple to plant, hardy and easy grow, Winter Roses will flower for decades without fuss.
Almost indestructible and certainly indispensible, Winter Roses are ideal for dressing up the shady spots in your garden. They provide a long lasting floral display, from winter to spring and their handsome, evergreen foliage remains a year round feature.
Winter Roses, or Hellebores are durable and versatile in the garden. They thrive beneath deciduous trees, in filtered light or part shade (they don't tend to flower as well in really heavy shade). They will even grow in containers. The plentiful, enduring flowers measure around 5-8cm across.
Winter Roses can set seed but are unlikely to flower true to type as they hybridise easily. They offer great value with the seedlings either left to their own devises, moved or shared.
The blooms open so freely there is plenty for picking - a real boon for winter. A nice way to display them is floating in a bowl as a table centrepiece.
