Caucasian Cornflower grows to form a handsome clump of dense, evergreen, fuzzy foliage topped with mauve pink flowers. The divided leaves grow to around 12cm, and the flower stems are just over double that.
Caucasian Cornflower makes a cracking edging plant, potted or ground cover. It will also grow in pots, rockeries or garden beds. It flowers for an age and even the buds look a treat before they unfurl.
Perennial Cornflowers are hard working plants that will bring plenty of blooms to your garden. The brilliant colour will light up your beds through summer and beyond. They are even great for picking. Each bloom is almost 5cm across.
Perennial Cornflowers will form a nice, bushy clump of grey green, deeply divided leaves. They are easy to grow, and are both frost and dry and frost tolerant.
Grow Perennial Cornflowers in a sunny position, in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. They really are quite tolerant of poor soils, as long as they are not boggy. Water in, Psephellus become dry tolerant once established.
