A regal choice with colourful, variegated foliage and lasting flowers. The brilliant, purple blue blooms open from early spring and continue on into autumn. The new leaves have a coy pink blush, before maturing to a green and cream variegation.

Ajuga ‘Princess Nadia’ is a top notch ground cover, creeper, edging plant or container sensation. It doesn’t mind the shade and won’t compete for nutrients as a ground cover under roses.

The accented, evergreen foliage is also a great weed suppressor. This easy care, rhizomatous perennial will spread at a reasonable pace through underground stolons.

Ajuga ‘Princess Nadia’ copes well with shade or shade and maintains flowering in both – but you will get the best foliage colour in mottled, bright light or part shade and during cool weather.

Plant Ajuga ‘Princess Nadia’ in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water in well (this takes around four weeks of regular watering – sometimes daily in warm weather) and it will become dry tolerant once established. In pots use a good quality potting mix and add a little fertiliser annually in spring.
