Mid pink outer petals fading to soft pink, then cream at the heart of the flower. Growing 90cm tall by around 75cm across. As the name suggests it is one of the first to flower, it also has a beautiful perfume and is great for picking.
Peonies are vigorous, long lasting garden plants with opulent blooms that make wonderful cut flowers.
Why not spoil yourself and enjoy an abundant spring to summer display of intoxicating loveliness. Peonies look exotic and temperamental and yet they are remarkably hardy and grow well in cool to temperate Australian gardens.
You may have to be patient for at least a year before you can enjoy the flowers of Peony Roses, they resent having their roots disturbed so flowering is delayed, but the wait will be justified for many years to come as they are extremely long lived.
Peony Roses need cold winters (3-5C at least) for best flowers. Peony roses are heavy feeders, so you need to fertilise them regularly. They also like lime, and lot’s of it, so be sure to indulge them.
