Plectranthus 'Velvet Elvis'

We are all shook up about this super star. This no fuss plant that will make you look like an expert gardener with very little care. Big, long lasting flowers and a compact habit.

The masses of blooms form a violet haze over the dark, upright, mounding leaves from summer through to frost. The handsome, evergreen foliage is deep green with a dark purple reverse.

Plectranthus ‘Velvet Elvis’ is useful as a border filler, specimen plant or in a container. It can even make a great houseplant.

This vigorous Plectranthus will establish quickly, is easy to grow and will even thrive in poor soils. A part shade to morning sun position is ideal. They easily tolerate root competition under trees.

Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low, they are dry tolerant once established. In cold climates they are deciduous; everywhere else can enjoy them year round. Give them a light prune after flowering to keep them nice and tidy.
