Hard to find and easy to grow this cottage garden essential is bound to find a way into your heart. Remarkably tough, it will flower from November to March, then the seed heads will continue to impress through winter.
The flowers are white with a green to lemon blush, and mauve flush on the reverse. They are abundant and open above the foliage. It will grow to form nice dense clumps. The basal leaves are 5-15cm long.
Plant in part shade to full sun into moderately fertile to humus rich soil. Water in, they become dry tolerant as they establish. Fertilise spring/summer. Flowers suitable for picking.
This plant is not seen very often so get it while you can!
